Made ~ Christmas Candy Basket
Here is a super cheap and super chic idea for Christmas. I purchased an oval basket from Target's Dollar Spot. The basket was covered in Christmas candy images. I added some pleated ribbon I found at Hobby Lobby, some vintage lace and the bloom from a floral pick I got at Michael's for 50% off. For under $2, here is a pretty basket to hold a small gift.

Handmade Ornaments are Best
I adore Christmas. It is the most creative time of the year for me. As such, I participated in Cassandra's ornament swap. I was paired up with other like-minded ladies who have a soft spot in their hearts for pinks and blues. Here is a glimpse of the ornaments I made for Cheryl:
Julie
and Tabitha.
And here are the delightful ornaments I got from Cheryl:

Aren't they all TDF????? Now, I must go out and buy that white Christmas tree I have been longing for to put these handmade ornaments on. Thanks, Cassandra for letting me participate in this swap. And thank you, Cheryl, Julie and Tabitha for the best handmade ornaments a girl could ask for.

Made ~ Marie Antoinette Snowflake Ornaments
The holiday season was a busy one but I was able to complete a few small craft projects. Here is the simplest one: Marie Antoinette Snowflake Ornaments.
I started with a plastic snowflake I bought from Target in a package of four for $1.
I then took a digital print of Marie Antoinette and circle punched it. I adhered the image to the snowflake using hot glue. Then I attached three small roses to the image. Next, I took some glitter glue and edged the image with the glue. Allow to dry overnight. Viola!

Thrifty Thursday
Welcome to Thrifty Thursday where I will show/tell you about my latest thrifty find. Today, I stumbled upon what was left of Target's Christmas decorations for 90% off. Though the pickings were slim, I got 12 glass ornaments in gold and silver for 25 cents! Yes, that's right. A quarter for 12 ornaments. Since they were so economical, I bought 4 sets of each color. So for two whole dollars I have 96 ornaments. I also picked up a pack of ornament hooks for six cents! Now that is what I called thrifty. And it was Thursday no less.
